The conflict between the football clubs “YUZAO” and “Khosa” occurred after an amateur championship match on April 28 at the capital’s Trud stadium.
According to the victims, one of Khosa’s players approached an opponent and started hitting him in the head. Other members of the Khosa and a man not part of the team then joined the fight. One of the victims was taken to hospital with a broken eyebrow and a bruised head.
The footballers come from Tajikistan and were arrested. Administrative reports were drawn up against them under the article “petty hooliganism”. The inspection documents were transferred to the Investigative Committee and a criminal case may be initiated. Two of the detainees were also fined for violating migrant registration conditions; they risk being expelled from Russia.
