Lucas Hernandez could miss Euro 2024 due to torn cruciate ligament

The PSG defender will soon receive an official diagnosis

Defender PSG Lucas Hernandez may be out for a long time.

In the Champions League semi-final match against Borussia D (0:1), the Frenchman was injured and was replaced in the 42nd minute. Previously, Lucas has a torn cruciate ligament in his knee.

The player will undergo an in-depth medical examination in the near future. If the diagnosis is confirmed, this season will end ahead of schedule for the Frenchman. Hernandez will also miss Euro 2024.

This season, Lucas has played 41 matches for the Parisians in all competitions, scoring two goals and two assists. The defender played in 37 matches for the French national team.

PSG became the early champion of France. The return match with Bumblebees in the Champions League semi-finals will take place on May 7.

France will play Austria, the Netherlands and Poland in the group stage at Euro 2024.
