Athletistic / Football. William de Oliveira, assistant to Zenit head coach Sergei Semak, addressed rumors regarding a possible transfer to the Russian club of Al-Hilal striker Neymar. Earlier, legendary Brazilian footballer Cafu said that Neymar could consider joining Zenit if the St. Petersburg club makes him a suitable offer.
“I think Neymar’s transfer to Zenit is unlikely. However, his salary is slightly different from what our players receive,” Oliveira was quoted as saying by Match TV.
On October 18, Neymar tore the cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee during a qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup against Uruguay (0-2). This damage kept him out of action for at least 8 months. And next year the America’s Cup will be held in the United States from June 20 to July 14, which is why he will probably miss the continental championship.
In the summer of 2023, Neymar moved from French PSG to Saudi Al-Hilal for 90 million euros. In the Middle East, the Brazilian managed to play 5 matches, score one goal and become the author of three assists.
