The midfielder will not renew his agreement with Bumblebees
Experienced midfielder Borussia Dortmund Marco Reus officially announced his departure from the team at the end of the season.
In the summer, the midfielder will become a free agent: the player will not renew his agreement with the Bumblebees. Several MLS clubs are interested in Marco’s services, as well as Borussia Monchengladbach.
34-year-old Reus has been playing for Borussia Dortmund since the summer of 2012. This season, the Shmeli midfielder has scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 38 matches.
Reus is in the top 5 in terms of the number of matches played and goals scored for Dortmund. In addition, with Borussia D Marco won the German Cup twice and triumphed in the country’s Super Cup three times.
The midfielder joined the Bumblebees in the summer of 2012 from Borussia M. As part of the Monchengladbach team, Reus played more than 100 matches, scoring 41 goals and giving 28 assists.
Borussia Dortmund is in fifth place in the Bundesliga standings. Bumblebees in the first semi-final match of the Champions League minimally defeated PSG (1:0). The return match is scheduled for May 7.
