Yaremchuk will leave Valencia at the end of the season – media

Apparently, the Ukrainian will return to Bruges, despite his spring progress with the Spanish club

Valencia will not buy out the contract of the Ukrainian forward Roman Yaremchuk from Bruges for 4 million euros.

According to Spanish media, the 28-year-old Ukrainian will leave the Levantine club next summer and return to Bruges. Valencia previously thought about re-loaning the Ukrainian, but, apparently, will not resort to this option and will consider other options to strengthen the attack.

Let us remind you that Yaremchuk moved to Valencia on the last day of the summer transfer window on loan from Bruges. The agreement expires until the end of the 2023/24 season. Other terms were not disclosed. The Ukrainian’s contract with the Belgian club is valid until 2026.

Roman had a hard time adapting to the Spanish championship. Only in December did he score his first goal for Valencia (in the Copa del Rey), and he had to wait until 2024 to score his first goal in La Liga. In February-March, the Ukrainian had a strong period, scoring against Almeria and Real Madrid. But then Yaremchuk suffered a hamstring injury that derailed all his progress.

To date, Roman has not entered the field for more than a month. Initially, it was expected that the Ukrainian would miss about two to three weeks. Later, the timing of the Ukrainian’s return was adjusted for the match with Alaves. At the end of April, Yaremchuk was already working on an individual program. According to the latest data, he trained in the general group of Valencia, preparing for the match against Alaves.

Yaremchuk played 25 matches for Bats in all tournaments this season, scoring four goals.

Valencia is in eighth place in La Liga with 47 points. She will play the home match with Alaves on Sunday, May 5.
