The specter of a new government agency is haunting Italian football. According to reports from www.gazzetta.itThe government is actually exploring the possibility of creating a new independent body to oversee football accounts. But it also decides who can register for the championship. This will be called Agency for Economic and Financial Supervision of Professional Sports Clubs and in fact it will replace the CoViSoC, an autonomous but still internal body of the Football Federation which is responsible for overseeing the regular administrative and financial management of football clubs.
