About the best personalities and main figures of the tour – here.
Goalkeeper – Maxim Mekhaniv (Left Bank)
The Kievans in Volochisk attacked more and more sharply, but at the same time they did not complete their implementation, so the work of Mekhanov was especially important. The new goalkeeper of the Left Bank helped out by covering the ball after Kuzmin’s shot from Voytikhovsky’s discount, and also immediately entered the game several times after long-range shots and serves from Agribusiness. We must pay tribute to Mekhanov’s calmness – after Yakymiv’s injury, the guests’ defense became vulnerable, but the goalkeeper played the third “dry” match for the new team.
- Best in Elimination Group: Vladislav Rybak (Metalist)
EtcFirst defender – Yuriy Kozyrenko (Ingulets)
It was once midfielder Kozyrenko who scored in European competitions for AIK, played in foreign championships, and scored a hat-trick for Gornyak-Sport in the First League. With the arrival of Bogunov, he began to lose competition to him and Kozak, but the coaching staff developed a new promising position for Yuri. In Bucha, where Kudrovka-Niva hosted the Petrivka team, Kozyrenko endured a difficult fight with Korkishko and Rogozinsky (not always successful, by the way), but eventually achieved an advantage on the flank. Moreover, it was from Yuri that two great goals were sent to Sitalo and Kvasov, who scored beautiful goals for the hosts in the summer. Some of the coolest assists along the field in the entire PFL season!
- Best in Elimination Group: Denis Chervinsky (FC Khust)
TseCentral defender – Oleksandr Myzyuk (Karpaty)
For the Myzyukov football family, Sumy region is a special place, they all played here, Alexander’s brother Yuri still plays for FC Trostyanets, and their cousin Sergei played for Victoria. Therefore, A. Myzyuk had great motivation to play well at the beautiful Yubileiny stadium. He played tenaciously with Nych, blocking his and Dolinsky’s dangerous blows. He worked well in interceptions and in martial arts. The leader played 0:0 for the first time this season, and Alexander’s credit for not conceding a goal to Karpaty is great.
- Best in Elimination Group: Artur Novotryasov (Bukovina)
Tsecentral defender – Yaroslav Martynyuk (Dinaz)
The former midfielder of Karpaty, Rukh, Metalist 1925 and a number of other clubs in Dinaz fills a place in the center of defense with experience. However, with the team’s old-timer Voloshin, they managed to create a duet that satisfied the master of football defense Golovko. They successfully slowed down Riznyk and managed to block Galadei, although after coming on as a substitute he had a good opportunity to score. Yaroslav himself willingly visited the Niva goal and was close to scoring twice. And at the end of the match, Ternopil resident Kozak fouled him at the cost of a second yellow card before being sent off, and immediately after that the hosts consolidated their winning advantage.
- Best in the Champion Group: Yuri Kravchuk (Victoria)
LeFirst defender – Kirill Degtyar (Metalist)
Corners from Degtyar in the match with Metallurg in Uman are a separate genre of art. Kirill scored directly from one of the corners, opening the scoring in the match. There was also an obligatory aggravation from others. Degtyar could also score from the game, almost shooting down the front nine during a quick attack. At the moment, the youngest player in the entire history of the UPL continues to progress in the First League, where Metalist turned the fight for maintaining first-league registration in his favor.
- Best in the Champion Group: Dmitry Ulyanov (Victoria)
Tsecentral midfielder – Vladislav Buchakchiysky (Prykarpattya)
The Ivano-Frankivsk team created many good reasons in the match against the unyielding Mariupol team. Buchakchiysky especially tried, performing large amounts of preparatory work in the center of the field, taking part in the initial phases of many attacks and himself dangerously shot several times at the opponents’ goal. Vladislav’s activity should have been rewarded with a goal, but he was frankly unlucky. Buchakchiysky delivered his best shot when the score was 0:0, but hit the crossbar of FSK Mariupol. The ball was “dead”, centimeters decided the fate of the episode.
- Best in Elimination Group: Michael Obamina (Flint)
EtcFirst midfielder – Petr Lutsiv (Metalist)
In general, Lutsiv started the match on the left, combined well and constantly changed zones with Sinchuk. By the way, he could have scored even earlier, but did not realize two exits from the depths against the Zaporozhye goalkeeper. After a series of substitutions, he finished the game on the right flank and remained fresh for the end of the game. This helped him put an end to the Uman match with Kaidalov’s pass – this is Metalist’s first devastating away victory after the relegation.
- Best in the Champion Group: Vladimir Odaryuk (SK Poltava)
Atoffensive midfielder – Nazar Prikhodko (FC Khust)
In the Transcarpathian club, many young football players rebooted or blossomed, but even against the backdrop of other beautiful stories, Prikhodko’s biography stands alone. Nazar had previously played among students, amateurs and even beachgoers. Having settled into the Second League, he made dramatic progress after the promotion of FC Khust. In Gorishni Plavny, in a surprisingly important match for the team, Prikhodko first hit the post, then in the first half he opened the scoring with a free kick, and after a break and a prolonged air raid, he earned and converted a penalty.
- Best in the Champion Group: Nikolay Mironyuk (Epicenter)
Lefirst midfielder – Sergei Sten (Epicenter)
The Kamenites played a surprisingly bright match against SK Poltava, and here not only the technique and school of their leading players showed, but also their strong-willed qualities. The visitors took the lead twice and at this important moment the group of leaders led the way from Epicenter. Just two minutes after the second goal conceded, Sten equalized the score from a pass from Mironyuk, and before the break he executed a great serve from his flank, which was completed by defender Moroz from the center forward position. To win such a match on your home field is a sign of the team’s character and its concern for its fans.
- Best in Elimination Group: Vitaly Gemega (Podolia)
Onfalling – Andrey Andreychuk (Bukovina)
In the absence of the leader of the scoring race, Palagnyuk, all responsibility for the Chernivtsi attack in Chernigov fell on the young Andreychuk. And he lived up to the hope. He opened the scoring after a blunder by his opponents, then provided a cool assist to Goncharuk. After the break, he earned a free kick for Novotryasov’s goal and converted the penalty earned by Budnyak, and scored a hat-trick after Goncharuk’s pass.
- Best in the Champion Group: Andrey Khoma (Prykarpattya)
Onfalling – Artem Sitalo (Ingulets)
Kudrovka-Niva made a very good impression in the last rounds and presented several loud sensations, in particular, giving Ingulets hope for an early ticket to the UPL. In the hero city of Bucha, Sitalo played against the team of his teammate, the young coach Loktionov. Thanks to the great work of the midline and flanks, Artem had just a lot of chances. In the first half, he opened the scoring after a subtle pass from Sada, after the break he missed a number of opportunities to score, but then, after a pass on the move, he volleyed a rather difficult ball to execute. This victory guaranteed the Peter’s club medals.
- Best in Elimination Group: Evgeny Ryazantsev (Metalist)

The best coach of the 7th round of the second stage of the First League. Illustration pfl.ua Actually, Tsytkin surprises for the second season in a row. First – when in his debut season in the PFL he led FC Khust to medals and promotion through the playoffs with solid competition from Chaika, Zvyagel and Niva (Vinnitsa). Now – when in the “Knockout” group, he leads the team to maintain its registration in the First League. In 2019, only Karpaty and Inhulets scored more points than the Transcarpathians – 16 each, while FC Khust received 15 points in six matches. Playing quite stylish football with a tactical scheme unique to the PFL 4-4-2/4-4-1-1, Tsytkin proves in practice that it is possible to assemble a playing ensemble with modest resources and achieve progress for those football players who believe in his coaching philosophy . and opinion. The key match in Gorishni Plavny was won thanks to Prikhodko’s double, whom Vladimir Borisovich found at the deep amateur-student level. This is the personification of the great work that FC Khust has done to level out the gap from all other championship participants in finance, team experience and staffing capabilities.
- Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – Here.

Somehow it turns out in the spring that the Kohut brothers did not play at the same time so often. So in Volochisk, against former teammates, we played together for only a little more than 20 minutes (from Nikolai’s exit to Ivan’s replacement). However, what a big role they played in the victory of the Left Bank! Nikolai Kogut, coming on as a substitute for Mysik in the 62nd minute, managed to score himself and earn a penalty for the second goal. That is, both goals scored in the match in the Khmelnytsky region were created by the efforts of this “joker”. Other successful substitutions – Kaidalov with an assist for the third goal of Metalist, Kvasov with the third goal of Ingulets, Kost with an assist for Khoma in the victory of Prykarpattya, Borisenko with Dinaz with the final second goal – also earned our kind word with their play.
- Sport Arena statistics: 23 league matches, 2 goals, 2 assists.

A hat-trick and an assist are an excellent indicator for one match, Andreychuk scored it in Chernigov. In total, in seven matches after joining Bukovina, Andrei scored six effective actions. A graduate of Prykarpattya, Andreychuk, who went through the school of FC Alexandria, demonstrates good football in the Chernivtsi club and at his age (21 years old) will definitely continue to improve and progress.
- Sport Arena statistics: 7 league matches, 5 goals, 1 assist.
Why? Those are meager rounds when there’s simply nothing to choose from, but here we have such goals – it’s all like a selection! Great goals from Sitalo and Kvasov from Ingulets – right-hand volleys after passing the ball like a carbon copy. Luxurious free kick from Khustyan Prikhodko. Finally, a direct kick from the corner by Degtyar from Metalist. Each of these goals deserves to be included in the list of the best of the season! However, we have a surprise winner from the master of long shots. We quote the report: “The hosts did not give up and very quickly reduced the gap in the score. Osipenko made the pass, and Mironenko hit the far corner with a superb dribbling shot.”.
You can watch the goal on video
