Girona coach is optimistic about Ukrainian legionnaires
Head coach Girona Michel talked about the upcoming transfer summer, in which the main task of his club will be to retain the leaders in its composition. In particular, the mentor commented on the future of Ukrainian legionnaires Artem Dovbik And Viktor Tsygankova.
“I think the Ukrainians are staying because they have a contract. And I hope that Savigno… He’s the best player I’ve ever had. I don’t know if he’s a Troyes or Manchester City player, but I know he’s not our player. We’ll talk about this later.”
Let us remind you that Dovbik is having a phenomenal season in his new club. He is the top scorer of the Spanish Primera Division with 20 goals. He also has 8 assists in 35 matches in all tournaments.
Tsygankov played five fewer matches, scored six goals, and gave four assists. The winger was out of action several times due to injury.
Savinho (aka Savio Moreira de Oliveira), who recently turned 20, will move to Manchester City at the end of the season – this has been known since February.
Girona beat Barcelona (4:2) in the last match, guaranteeing themselves a historic entry into the Champions League and Real Madrid the championship title. Both Ukrainians came out from the first minutes, Dovbik scored a goal and an assist.
