Ajax aim to edge Manchester United in fight for Graham Potter – media

Ajax » always interested in inviting Graham Potter as head coach of the club, reports The Telegraph.

According to the source, Potter is considered an ideal candidate to rebuild the club. Ajax believes he will be able to return the team to its former position without costly acquisitions and instill a new style of play and philosophy that will fit the club’s traditional ‘total football’.

Sky Sports previously reported that Potter had turned down Ajax’s offer. The specialist was dissatisfied with the salary level.

Potter is also reported to be one of the contenders to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. Clubs interested in Potter’s services also include AC Milan, Porto and Feyenoord.

Potter’s last club was Chelsea, which the specialist left in April last year. Before that he worked at Brighton, Swansea and Sweden’s Ostersund.
