Sports director “Orenburg” Dmitry Andreev told that the club is counting on the imminent receipt of money from Kaliningrad “Baltic” for the transfer of a midfielder Kirill Kaplenko .
Previously, the Dispute Resolution Chamber of the Russian Football Union (RFU) ordered the Baltika club from Kaliningrad to repay its debt to Orenburg for the transfer of Kaplenko. The 24-year-old Belarusian joined the Baltika squad in February; his contract with the Kaliningrad club runs until the summer of 2028.
— We just have a little money in reserve for the transfer of Kaplenko to Baltika, nothing like that. Our CEO did it. I can’t say the exact amount, but I know some of it went unpaid. I don’t know what everything looks like technically, but I hope we will see the money for this transfer soon,” Andreev told .
Kaplenko played 12 matches for Baltika in all tournaments and scored one goal. Kaliningraders, having scored 26 points in 27 matches, occupy 15th place in the MIR ranking of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
