After returning from injury scoring a goal, Yuri Alberto celebrates his return and praises coach António Oliveira in a press conference
After helping the Corinthians to win another match in the Copa Sudamericana, Yuri Alberto celebrated his performance and return to the field, as he was left out of the team’s last three games due to injury. Explaining his physical problem, the number 9 also reported the importance of Antonio Oliveira in their day-to-day work.
“If it weren’t for this guy, I would be in CT, I’m having trouble with my knee, I’m still not 100%, but improving. Every day he would go to DM and ask when he would be back, making fun of me like hell. Today I was able to make a good return and I have four days to recover even more for Saturday, it was an injury that was limiting me. Very happy to come back and run like a horse, brake like a horse. This guy is very special to me“, said the player.
Antonio Oliveira: Hey Yuri, you’re coming back from injury, so don’t push too hard, ok?!
Yuri Alberto: cool boss, I’ll do the basics.

Afterwards, Yuri Alberto also commented on the celebration he made after scoring the first goal in the team’s victory over Nacional, from Paraguay. The attacker placed his hand on one of his ears, making the gesture of listening to what they were shouting and stated that he missed hearing his name spoken in the crowd.
“It was the moment, I celebrate the way I like. I like noise. I wanted them to scream my name because it had been a while since they screamed. Happy for the goal“, added Yuri at a press conference, as he was also voted the best in the game.
Following the good sequence of results, now Corinthians returns to training to face the Flamengo next Saturday, the 11th, in a match valid for the Brasileirão. The team continues trying to climb the table to fight at the top, for the title and place in next season’s Libertadores.
