The Ukrainian is looking forward to meeting the Australian
Former world champion in three weight categories, Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko commented on the upcoming fight with the Australian, former absolute world lightweight champion George Kambosos.
“We have different styles with Kambosos. That’s why we had two different results in the Haney fight.”
“We will have a battle. We prepared very hard. And as I said, it will be very interesting. I’m looking forward to winning the IBF title. I need to get the title and then I can think about my future.”
“Will Kambosos end my career? This isn’t the first time I’ve heard something like this, but it’s not a surprise to me. We’ll see what happens on May 12th. See you in the ring.”

The fight between Vasily and George will take place on May 12. The event, which also includes two undercard fights, will take place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, starting at approximately 5 a.m. Kyiv time.
Let us remember that in May 2023, Lomachenko lost to Devin Haney in a fight for the title of absolute world champion. In turn, Kambosos defeated Briton Maxi Hughes in his last fight, winning the IBO lightweight title.
