Athletistic / Football. Former FIFA referee Christina Unkel has commented on the scandalous offside episode at the end of the second Champions League semi-final between Real Madrid and Bayern.
The ex-judge believes that two refereeing errors were made in this episode.
“Unfortunately, during the match in Madrid, there were two refereeing errors: the first – the assistant referee raised the flag, which is contrary to UEFA instructions; the second – the referee accepted this recommendation,” Unkel said.
The match ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of Real Madrid, which allowed the Spaniards to reach the final of the Champions League.
