Foden could win the award for a record third time
English Premier League announced the nominees for the title best young player (not older than 23 years) season 2023/24.
There are eight candidates on the list: Phil Foden, Erling Haaland (both Manchester City), Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Kobby Mainu (Manchester United), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Bukayo Saka, William Saliba (both Arsenal) and Destiny Udoji (Tottenham).
You can vote for your candidate link. Voting will last until Monday, May 13th. Deadline – 14:00 Kyiv time. The winner will be announced on Saturday May 18th.
Two of the above players have previously won this award, with Foden being named the best young player in the Premier League twice in a row – at the end of the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons. No one has yet won this award three times. In 2023, Saka was recognized as the best.
Incomplete 36 rounds have been played in the Premier League season. Arsenal (83 points) and Manchester City (82 with a game in hand) continue to fight for the championship. Aston Villa and Tottenham are fighting for fourth place in the Champions League. At the bottom of the table, three clubs – Nottingham Forest, Luton and Burnley – are fighting for a salvage 17th place.
