Erling and Virgil can win this award for the second time in their careers
English Premier League presented a list of candidates for the award “Best player of the 2023/24 season”.
Among the nominees are: Phil Foden And Erling Holland from Manchester City, Martin Odegaard And Declan Rice from Arsenal, leader of Chelsea Cole PalmerLiverpool defender Virgil van Dyckas well as forwards Alexander Isak (Newcastle) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).

Let us remind you that Haaland was recognized as the best player in the Premier League last season. Van Dijk can also win the award for the second time – he was already recognized as the best in the 2018/19 season.
Four candidates for this award – Foden, Haaland, Palmer and Isak – are also vying for the title of best young (U-23) player of the season in the Premier League.
Incomplete 36 rounds have been played in the Premier League season. Arsenal (83 points) and Manchester City (82 with a game in hand) continue to fight for the championship. Aston Villa and Tottenham are fighting for fourth place in the Champions League. At the bottom of the table, three clubs – Nottingham Forest, Luton and Burnley – are fighting for a salvage 17th place.
Haaland, Palmer, Isak and Watkins lead the list of scorers in the current championship. The Aston Villa forward is also the best assister (12 assists) and the best in the goal + pass system (31).
