The 36-year-old Dutchman plays for FC Versailles
Former midfielder of Dynamo and the Netherlands national team Jermaine Lens announced that he will retire from his professional career this summer.
“I’ve been living by this principle for some time now and have come to terms with it. I was able to play for great clubs, compete in the World Cup and become champions in several countries,” Lens said.
Lens played for Dynamo from 2013 to 2015. He has 16 goals and 19 assists in 78 matches.
The Dutchman also played for AZ, PSV, Sunderland, Besiktas and Fatih Karagumruk. In the summer of 2022 he moved to Versailles, which this season is playing in the third strongest division in France.
The 36-year-old midfielder also has 34 caps for the Netherlands national team, in which he scored eight goals and provided seven assists. Together with the national team, Jermaine took part in the 2014 World Cup.
