Zarya beat Kolos on the road
Trainer Zari Yuri Koval commented on the victory over Kolos (1:0) in the rescheduled match of the 15th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“We had personnel problems before this game. It is not clear how many defenders, midfielders and strikers you need to have in the championship. But we saw that the guys, who had not played for some time before, played in favor of the team, very well.”
“The result was important for us today. It was a missed meeting. It’s difficult to replay or finish such matches, because the weekly cycle is disrupted, there must be depth in the squad.”
“We looked at how the tactics of the game changed after the change of coach and drew conclusions. I’m glad our plan worked. This is the merit of both the coaching staff and, above all, the players. This victory allows us to prepare for the next matches not calmly, but with a reserve of strength.”
Zarya took the lead midway through the first half after a precise shot from Eduardo Guerrero. After the break, Kolos created several dangerous chances near the visitors’ goal, but failed to come back.
Zarya scored 31 points and rose to eighth place in the standings. In the next round, Koval’s team will play Veres on May 13.
