The striker returned to the club where he started his career
Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez officially presented in Nacionale. The duration of the contract and the terms of the agreement with the forward were not disclosed.
The striker played for the youth and then for the main team of Nacional in 2005-06. It was after a successful season in Montevideo that he was invited to Groningen, where he began his European career.
In the 2021/22 season, Suarez scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 45 appearances for Atlético in all competitions. At the end of the season, Mattresses became third in La Liga, after which Luis left the Spanish club as a free agent.
This summer, the Uruguayan could become a River Plate player, but the transition fell through due to the departure of the Argentines from the current Copa Libertadores draw.
Nacional plays in the First Division of Uruguay, leading the Intermedio tournament.
