Ukrainian woman starts today at the “thousander” in Rome
First racket Ukraine Elina Svitolina commented on her health and physical fitness on the eve of the start of the WTA 1000 in Rome (Italy).
“I feel like I’m playing more aggressively now. I’m trying to play a prank. Of course, I’m not getting any younger, so I have to rely more on strength. Physically I’m still in a good level.”
“The goal for me now is to find the necessary balance between playing defensively and being aggressive on the court.”
“The priority is health. I know it will come to me, I just need to really take care of myself and be smart about my schedule and training. I want to play, feel good, give myself a good opportunity to play my best.”
Svitolina is ranked 19th in the WTA rankings. Today Elina starts at the “thousandth” in Rome with a match against the Italian representative Sara Errani.
