The main task of the project is psychological and physical assistance to our combatants
Ex-football player of Shakhtar, Dnipro, Carpathians and the Ukrainian national team Artem Fedetsky announced the creation of an amateur football club Carpathian Bears. The main goal of this project is assistance to Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers.
“Psychological and physical recovery of our veterans, combatants and the involvement of our heroes in the training process and matches” – these are the objectives of the charity project that Artem is implementing together with friends and like-minded people.
In an exclusive comment for Sports Arena Fedetsky said:
“We are planning to organize friendly matches where football players with whom I played together in different clubs will play, we will also attract military personnel from different units, media people from our football and show business. It will not only be football, but also communication, exchange of experiences, and most importantly, help, psychological and physical.
There will be more details very soon, the composition of the team is very interesting, there will be worthy people,” Artem noted.
39-year-old Fedetsky played professionally until 2019, after which he played for some time at the amateur level for Votrans Lutsk. As part of Shakhtar, he won the 2009 UEFA Cup, and as part of Dnepr he reached the final of the 2015 Europa League. Played all three matches for the national team at the 2016 European Championship.
The day before, it became known about Artem’s planned participation in the Kings World Cup media tournament as part of the UA Steel team, along with many football stars of past years – UAF President Andrei Shevchenko (one of the team’s founders), Dario Srna, Edmar, Marlos, Junior Moraes, Andrei Pyatov, Dmitry Chigrinsky, Evgeniy Konoplyanka and others.
