The Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation has not received a proposal from the Russian Football Union (RFUs ) about a possible change in the order of refereeing rules, was informed by the press service of the Ministry of Sports.
Earlier, RFU General Secretary Maxim Mitrofanov told that foreign referees will start working in Russian competitions, probably from the start of the next season. According to him, the RFU wants foreign judges to work in Russia, but there are “restrictions imposed by the order of the Ministry of Sports on the rules of judging.” Thus, only judges belonging to the All-Russian category can officiate during competitions.
“Earlier, the RFU stated that matches of the Russian Football Championship could not be officiated by foreign referees due to an order from the Ministry of Sports. Has there been a request from the RFU for changes to the order and when can changes be made?
— At present, the Russian Football Union has not proposed any changes to the legislation of the Russian Federation or other regulations of the Russian Ministry of Sports.
Separately, we note that according to Part 3 of Art. 22 of the Federal Law “On Physical Culture and Sport in the Russian Federation” establishes the following qualification categories for sports judges:
1) sports judge of the All-Russian category;
2) first category sports judge;
3) second category sports judge;
4) third category sports judge;
5) young sports judge.
In this regard, arbitration of All-Russian competitions by judges with qualification categories of sports judges not established by Law No. 329-FZ (international qualification category, etc.) is not provided, the service said press release from the Ministry of Sports. Match the TV.
In October last year, it was announced that the RFU had signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of refereeing with the Saudi Football Federation and the Belarusian Football Federation. Russian referees have been appointed for Saudi League matches.
