CBF asks clubs for position on strike

The Ministry of Sports demanded the suspension of the Brazilian Championship from the CBF due to the floods in Rio Grande do Sul; entity issued a letter to the teams

A CBF made a decision related to the follow-up of the Brazilian championship amid the tragic floods in Rio Grande do Sul. Grêmio, International It is Youth requested the entity that the next three rounds be suspended for all Series A teams.

This week, the Ministry of Sports ordered the tournament to be suspended. Therefore, the highest football body in the country asked the clubs, by issuing a letter, to officially comment on the issue.

According to ESPNthe president of the CBF, Ednaldo Rodrigues, does not believe in a majority in favor of interrupting Brasileirão activities. The representative will await a decision from the club commission and also from the Confederation’s Technical Council.
