In Brest it was different: in addition to us, BATE was competing for the title, Shakhtar, Dynamo Minsk and Torpedo could join it. My team has been in first place since the start of the season. They put pressure on us, but we held on until the end and only lost one game.

—Was it easier?

– No, it wasn’t. The point gap was not great; any mistake could cost the title. In Belarus we were favorites, but in Russia we are like “outsiders”, because in recent years Zenit, a team that plays in a separate league, has become the best club.

— You called Dynamo underdogs. RIGHT?

– Yes. From the start of the season, no one expected us to fight for the championship,” Lichka told .
