Surkis confirmed Verbic’s departure. He should become a Panathinaikos player

The transfer of the midfielder will be officially announced in the coming days

The president Dynamo Igor Surkis confirmed midfielder transfer Benjamin Verbicha to Greek Panathinaikos.

“Verbic left. He made this decision for himself. We were not very against it, we have young guys whom we will give way to.

“Lucescu said that he chooses his own path. He is 29 years old, this is his right,” said the President of Kiev.

“He did a lot for the team, but in recent years he has been very haunted by injuries that did not give him the opportunity to be in the conditions that Dynamo need now.”

Earlier it was reported that Panathinaikos agreed on the transfer of the Slovene with the people of Kiev. The transfer is expected to be officially announced in the coming days.

It was reported that Verbic would earn 2.5 million euros over three years on the contract. Also, various additional bonuses prescribed in his contract can bring income to the midfielder.

Verbic spent the second part of last season on loan at Legia. The Slovenian played in seven matches for the Polish team without scoring.

Verbić played for Dynamo in both matches of the Champions League qualification against Fenerbahce (0:0, 2:1).
