Vitor Roque will not stay at Barcelona for next season, says radio

Little used under Xavi’s command, Vitor Roque should not play for Barcelona, according to Spanish radio ‘Cadena Ser’

With few opportunities in Barcelona, Victor Roque should not play for the Catalan club next season. The information was broadcast by the radio ‘Cadena Ser’, in Spain, and according to the investigation, the Brazilian is not in the plans for xavicoach who will remain in office for 2024/2025.

According to the Spanish publication, Deco, the Portuguese-Brazilian director who led the hiring, is looking for the best destination for Vitor Roque, considering a possible loan. However, this option conflicts with the declarations of André Cury, the young striker’s agent, who ruled out his client being loaned out. In his view, either the center forward is used at Barça, or he must be sold.

Vitor Roque debuted at Barcelona at the beginning of this year and has always been under great pressure as he cost 74 million euros, around R$410 million, including fixed amounts, bonuses and taxes. Since his arrival, the Brazilian has entered the field just 13 times, only two as a starter, and scored two goals.

In Barcelona’s last four matches, the Brazilian striker didn’t even leave the bench. In total, Vitor Roque accumulated an average of 23 minutes on the field per match. The last time he played was in the victory against Cadizwhen he started as a starter and was substituted, 17 minutes into the second half.

Barcelona’s phase also doesn’t help Vitor Roque’s development, as the club didn’t win any titles this season and could end the season LALIGA in third place, behind the champion Real Madrid and the feeling Girona. This way, Barça plays under pressure and Xavi has less freedom to create an acceptable draft for the Brazilian.
