With information from Octavio Neto, from ‘TNT Sports’, Vasco has open negotiations with Philippe Coutinho and is preparing a proposal for Aston Villa
Last weekend, speculation arose about the return of Philippe Coutinhocurrently in Al-Duhail, to Brazilian football. At first, the cruise was interested in the possibility of signing the player, but, according to information from Octavio Netofrom ‘TNT Sports’, the midfielder is closer to Vasco da Gama.
Coutinho was revealed by Vasco in 2009 and, shortly after his quick spell as a professional at Cruzmaltino, he was negotiated with Inter Milan and began his career in European football. At the beginning of this season, the player who belongs to Aston Villafrom England, was transferred on loan to Al-Duhail, from Qatar.
According to Octavio Neto, Cruzeiro got in touch with the midfielder’s staff, but was informed that Coutinho’s interest would be in returning to play for Vasco, if his return to Brazil takes place. It was then notified that there is already advanced negotiation between the Rio club and the 31-year-old player’s team.
Thus, Vasco is preparing a proposal for Aston Villa, the club that holds Philippe Coutinho’s pass, and should enter this stage of negotiations soon. Despite the economic issue being an obstacle, the journalist pointed out that a salary reduction would be natural for the midfielder to return to playing in Brazilian football.
Finally, the proposal that Gigante da Colina is preparing to send to Aston Villa is a loan, initially, but with an obligation clause to purchase after the agreed period. According to the journalist, the transfer could reach around 7 million euros, around R$38.9 million at the current price.
