The Ukrainian started in the main draw with a victory over Stakusic from Canada
Ukrainian tennis player Anastasia Soboleva coped with Marina Stakusic from Canada in the first round of the main draw of the tournament WTA 125 in Italian Parma.
The fight lasted two hours and 12 minutes. In the first set, Soboleva prevailed with a score of 6:3, but in the next game her opponent was stronger – 4:6.
In the decisive third set, with the score 3:3, Anastasia twice converted break points, thanks to which she won.
Let us remember that earlier in Parma Soboleva made it through the qualifications, beating Italian Elena Bocchi there.
In the next round, the Ukrainian will play with Zeynep Sonmez from Turkey, who eliminated second seed Lucia Bronzetti from the tournament.
