In February of this year, the team management decided to strengthen itself by signing a contract with Barcelona graduate Edgar Iye. However, according to Marca, it is likely not Edgar Iye who has played for the Romanian club in the last three months, but his twin sister Edelina Iye.

The management became suspicious almost immediately, because the footballer who played for them did not know English and only spoke Portuguese. And this despite the fact that Edgar has played in Spain, France, Turkey and the Netherlands throughout his career, which means he needs to know the language of international communication.

When the athlete, who arrived in Bucharest, was asked to show his driver’s license, he refused.

At the same time, Dynamo administrator Andrei Nicolescu assured that the club signed Edgar Iye because he went through a big and “serious” agency. Edgar himself also denied all the accusations.

Finally, DNA testing should settle all the points. If he confirms the replacement, the club may be given a forfeit of all matches in which the twin brothers have played.

Note that this season, playing for Dynamo under the name Iye, he played eight matches without scoring.
