In the rescheduled match of the 34th round English Championship Manchester United won at his stadium Newcastle with a score of 3:2.
The Red Devils opened the scoring midway through the first half, with Kobby Meinu scoring. But just after the break the Magpies equalized through the efforts of Anthony Gordon. A few minutes later, the hosts took the lead again after Amad Diallo’s accurate shot. At the end of the meeting, Rasmus Hoylund, who came on as a substitute, scored his goal. Newcastle managed to reduce the gap after a goal from Louis Hall, but the visitors did not have enough to do more.
Manchester United is in eighth place in the Premier League standings. Newcastle is in seventh position. Both teams have 57 points.
In the last round of the English Championship, Manchester United will play against Brighton, and Newcastle will play against Brentford.
