The Eaglets said goodbye to their hopes of the Champions League with just one round to go
Paris Saint-Germain beat on the road Nice in the 32nd round match League 1depriving the opponent of their hopes for the Champions League – 2:1.
Luis Enrique’s team scored a double midway through the first half. Bradley Barcola opened the scoring, and soon young full-back Yoram Zag, playing only his third match at senior level, scored his first goal for PSG on his 18th birthday.
The Eaglets returned to the game thanks to a goal from Mohamed Sho, but all further attempts to come back were in vain. Moreover: the hosts finished the game in the minority after Melvin Bar was sent off.
Francesco Farioli’s men thus remained fifth and will no longer be able to catch up with Brest and Lille. It is with the Dogs that Nice will play in the last round. PSG will go to visit the outsider Metz.
