Dario Baccin, director of Inter Milan, admitted that goalkeeper Bento, from Athletico-PR and the Brazilian team, is on the Italian club’s radar
Benedict is one of the main goalkeepers in Brazilian football, no wonder he was one of the three players who play in the country called up to compete in the Copa America. Furthermore, at just 24 years old, the archer of Athletico-PR attracts the attention of European clubs and is currently in the sights of Inter Milan.
Dario Baccin, deputy sporting director at Inter, gave an interview to ‘Sky Sports’. In one of his statements, the Italian stated that the committee is satisfied with the goalkeepers in the current squad, but did not deny the club’s quality and interest in signing Bento.
“Bento? We are happy with the goalkeepers in the squad, but thinking about the future he is one of those we are evaluating. Much is being considered due to the call-up to the Brazilian team, but even if it is, it is premature to talk about him, as he is one of two or three young people who we follow closely”, said the leader.
Inter Milan’s starting goalkeeper is Swiss Yan Sommer. Despite having had a great season, which helped the team win its 20th league title, Serie Athe goalkeeper is already 35 years old and has a contract until 2026. Therefore, the Nerazzurri board is looking for a signing who can take on the position in the coming years, not necessarily to take over as a starter immediately.
