Athletistic/Football. Tomas Amaral, sporting director of Spartak, expressed his thoughts on the appointment of Dejan Stankovic as the new head coach of the red and whites.

“Dejan Stankovic is a name that needs no introduction. His football career and impressive record speak for themselves.

However, we invite to Spartak not only a former footballer, but also an experienced coach who has been working at a high level for five years. During this period, he won four league titles – three with Red Star and one with Ferencvaros, as well as two Serbian Cups. It is important to note that in addition to titles, there is a systematic approach to his work.

After the first conversation, we realized that Dejan was ideal for our club. His ambition, his passion for football, his experience, his leadership qualities and his deep understanding of the game make him the ideal candidate. He is determined to start working at Spartak and realizes that being part of the most popular club in Russia is a great honor and responsibility.

I am sure Dejan will help Spartak return to the top. His long career in football is a testament to his ability to succeed. I have no doubt that this is the right choice for our club,” Amaral was quoted as saying by the Spartak press service on the official website.
