International Football Federation (FIFA ) announced new principles to combat racism.
One of the innovations is the use of a crossed arms gesture. In this way, players and referees will symbolize incidents of racism during matches.
“It is time for football to come together to meet the challenge of fighting racism in the game,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, as quoted by the Associated Press.
On April 12, Infantino called on the six world football confederations to contribute to the development of a comprehensive strategy to combat racism in football.
