The UAF CDC postponed the decision on Eguinaldo, who was sent off after the Shakhtar – Dynamo match

Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association started considering the case of sending off the winger Shakhtar Eguinaldowhich happened immediately after the end of his team’s match against Dynamo (1:0) in the match of the 28th round UPL.

As the official communiqué says, “taking into account the need to clarify additional circumstances, a full and comprehensive study of evidence, a decision will be made at the next meetings of the UAF State Control Committee, which will be reported additionally.”

The aforementioned match between Shakhtar and Dynamo, which took place on May 11, became “golden” for the Donetsk club – the victory allowed it to secure the championship title ahead of schedule. Immediately after the final whistle, a brawl broke out on the field involving players from both clubs. One of the main characters was Eguinaldo, who received a straight red card for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Four days later, the Miners scored a “golden double”, defeating Vorskla (2:1) in the Ukrainian Cup final.

Let us remind you that the UAF CDC also awarded monetary fines to Dnepr-1, Krivbass and Minai for various violations in recent Premier League matches. The total amount of fines for the three clubs was 125 thousand hryvnia.

At the moment, 28 out of 30 rounds have been played in the UPL. There are two intrigues left to be resolved in the championship. SK Dnepr-1, Rukh and Polesie are competing for the two remaining spots in the European Cup, and at the bottom of the table there is a heated fight for survival.

Shakhtar have two matches left to play before the end of the season – both away, against Dnepr-1 and Polesie.
