Benfica, without Trubin, missed out on victory over Rio Ave in stoppage time

The Ukrainian team finished the Portuguese Championship in second place

Benfica on the road did not retain victory over Rio Ave in the match of the last, 34th round Portuguese Championship – 1:1.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half, with Orken Kokju scoring. Rio Ave managed to snatch a draw in stoppage time, with Costinha converting the penalty.

Ukrainian goalkeeper Orlov Anatoly Trubin spent the match on the bench. The 22-year-old Ukrainian was the undisputed main player of the Lisbon club throughout the season – 48 matches (17 of them to zero), 47 goals conceded.

Benfica finished the Portuguese championship in second place with 80 points. Trubin’s team will begin the next European Cup season in the Champions League qualification.
