The Rossoneri will make the final choice of a new head coach next week
Mentor Lille Paulo Fonseca confirmed his readiness to lead Milan.
Shakhtar’s ex-coach held two successful telephone conversations with the Rossoneri management. The parties have tentatively agreed on a contract until 2026 with a salary of 3.5 million euros per year.
Fonseca is not the only candidate for the head coach position on Milan’s shortlist. It is reported that the Rossoneri will make the final choice between the contenders next week.
Stefano Pioli will leave the Rossoneri camp in the summer. It was reported that the mentor had already been informed of the early termination of the contract. Pioli himself should lead Napoli.
Fonseca, along with Lille, is in third place in Ligue 1. Milan, two rounds before the end of Serie A, booked themselves second place in the Italian Championship.
