Athletistic / Football. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp has spoken about ending his job at the Merseyside camp. The Reds have one match left to play under the leadership of the German coach.
“We know we could have won more trophies, but I can’t change that, besides, we could have won less. Not becoming English champion by one point is not a good experience, but it’s still an experience I could. I don’t do anything differently.
We could win the Champions League more often, but reaching three finals is a remarkable achievement. There’s a good chance you’ll lose the final, that’s a given. Real Madrid always finds a way to win this tournament.
I wouldn’t be happy if I thought I could have achieved more at Liverpool. I couldn’t do it. Maybe someone else could have done it. But that’s not the case, and that’s okay with me. People will judge me, and most people are OK with that,” Klopp said according to ESPN.
Jurgen Klopp took charge of Liverpool in the fall of 2015. With the Germans, the Reds won the Premier League, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup, FA Cup and the English League Cup.
The day before, on May 17, Arne Slot officially announced that from July 1 he would become the new head coach of Liverpool. The Dutch specialist has signed a contract with the English club until June 30, 2027.
Liverpool are in third place in the Premier League table with 79 points.
