The Spaniard intends to fully recover from injuries and regain competitive shape
Midfielder Thiago Alcantara plans to continue his career in the European team after leaving Liverpool this summer.
The midfielder received several offers from clubs outside Europe. However, his priority remains to fully recover from his injuries, begin full training and get back into competitive shape to compete in European tournaments.
Last season, Thiago played a total of 28 matches, 18 of them in the Premier League. As for the current campaign, the 33-year-old midfielder spends almost all his time in the hospital. Only once did he enter the field – for five minutes in the match of the 23rd round against Arsenal (1:3). The Reds have officially announced that they will not renew the player’s contract.
Liverpool are in third place in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp’s team will finish the season on May 19 with a home game against Wolverhampton.
