For the fifth year in a row, the award has been awarded to a Manchester City player
Midfielder Manchester City Phil Foden recognized Player of the season 2023/24 V English Premier League.
This is the first time Phil has won such an award. Foden beat out seven other contenders – Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice (both Arsenal), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Alexander Isak (Newcastle) and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).
The Player of the Season award has been awarded to a Manchester City player for the fifth year in a row. Previously, the award was won by Ruben Dias, Kevin De Bruyne twice and Erling Haaland.
23-year-old Foden has played 34 matches in the Premier League this season, scoring 17 goals and providing eight assists. In all competitions of the season, Phil scored 25 goals and provided 11 assists in his 51st appearance for the club.
Previously, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer was recognized as the best young footballer of the 2023/24 season in the Premier League. The midfielder beat Foden, Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak, Kobby Maina, Bukayo Saka, William Salib and Destiny Udoji in the poll.
Manchester City leads the Premier League with 88 points. In the final round, the Citizens will host West Ham on May 19.
