The hosts turned the game around after the break thanks to two successful corners
LNZ won a strong-willed victory over Zarya in the 29th round match Ukrainian Premier League – 1:1.
The match wasn’t too eventful. The guests managed to win the first half thanks to a high-quality shot from outside the penalty area by Alexander Yatsik after a solo pass.
LNZ came back soon after the break. After a high-quality corner kick from Muharrem Yashari, Haidin Salihu corrected the ball into the net.
It seemed that the meeting would end like this, but the hosts managed to snatch victory, and again thanks to the corner. Alexander Saputin clearly made a mistake on the way out; the ball from Salihu’s head probably went into the goal, but Denis Oleinik sent it into the goal just in case.
LNZ won their fourth victory in their last six matches and virtually guaranteed themselves seventh place. In the last round, Leonid Kuchuk’s team will host Vorskla on May 25. Zarya, which will no longer rise above the eighth line, will end the season with a match against Kolos.
