Most Dnepr-1 players have agreements with other teams
Head coach Dnepra-1 Yuri Maximov expressed doubts about the immediate future of the team.
“Until the last moment we still don’t know what will happen. About 70% of the guys have already reached agreements with other teams and have already signed contracts. In February, all the guys got together and said that together we would finish the championship. Everyone already understood everything. So we agreed that we would finish the championship together, and then it would be… What would happen then.”
“The word “we’ll finish the game” – you understand. Someone is afraid of getting injured, someone has a Dnepr-1 T-shirt, and another T-shirt under it,” Maksimov said in a commentary to FootballHub.
Dnepr-1 in the penultimate round of the Ukrainian Premier League tied with Shakhtar (1:1). The Miners responded to Alexander Filippov’s goal with a Marlon goal.
Maksimov’s team takes fourth place in the UPL, gaining 49 points. In the last round, Dnepr-1 will meet with Chernomorets on May 25.
