Earlier, the Dnipro head coach said that most of the players were preparing to leave the team
Commercial Director SK Dnepr-1 Vyacheslav Fridman denied the words of the head coach Yuri Maksimov that the club risks not continuing to play next season.
“SK Dnepr-1 will definitely play in the UPL in the new season, but I don’t want to enter into a public discussion with Maximov. I don’t understand why he said this. Last time he said that 13 players left the team, but that was not true.”
“We received the money for Dovbik’s transfer in one fell swoop back in July last year. To say that the club lives only to receive the remaining payments is outright nonsense. We have already received permission from UEFA to perform next season, and Rusol is in charge of certification in the UPL.”
“I don’t know how many players want to leave. Maybe Maksimov conducted some kind of social survey among the players, which we don’t know about. This is all the club’s internal kitchen. At the end of the season we will sit down and talk. Who will stay, who will we sell.”
“We will talk with Pikhalenok and Gutsulyak at the end of the season. If they refuse to renew the contract, we will sell them. Leaders should not leave for free. Dynamo and Polesie? So far everything is at the level of rumors. Several Ukrainian clubs are interested in Gutsulyak and Pikhalenko.”
“We don’t plan financing in advance, because you know what times we live in. There’s a war going on! I can say for sure: Dnepr-1 will play next season.”
Earlier, head coach of Dnepr-1 Yuriy Maksimov expressed doubts about the immediate future of the team. The coach said that most of the players have already agreed to move to other clubs.
Maksimov’s team takes fourth place in the UPL, gaining 49 points. In the last round, Dnepr-1 will meet with Chernomorets on May 25.
