The Ukrainian missed four goals in the match with Villarreal
Head coach Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelottand did not blame the Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrey Lunin in four goals conceded in a match with Villarreal (4:4).
“I liked his game. He couldn’t do anything about the goals he missed. Played well with his feet. The goals are not his fault,” the Italian said.
Blancos won comfortably in the first half with a score of 4:1. After the break, Villarreal managed to come back and salvage a draw. Forward Alexander Serlot scored four goals against Lunin.
This season, Lunin played 31 matches for Madrid in all tournaments. The Ukrainian goalkeeper conceded 32 goals and kept 12 clean sheets.
Real finishes out the season in La Liga as champions. In the last round, Madrid will host Betis on May 25.
