Ukrainian Nadezhda Kichenok and Japanese Miyu Kato were defeated in the first round of the doubles tournament WTA 500 in French Strasbourg.
Kichenok and Kato lost to the tandem of Ena Shibahara (Japan) / Wang Xinyu (China). The fight lasted just over an hour.
In the first set, Nadezhda and Miyu gave their opponents one game on their serve – 4:6. In the second game, the Ukrainian and Japanese lost three of their serves to their opponents, making only one break in response – 2:6.
