General Director of Krivbass Baenko: We are working on strengthening, we are negotiating with 5-6 newcomers

Regarding the home stadium for European Cups, the club has several options

CEO Krivbassa Vladimir Baenko reported that the club plans to actively work on the summer transfer market.

“There is no time for rest. We are already working on strengthening ourselves before the European Cup season, serious negotiations are underway with 5-6 newcomers. We can say that the next season has already begun for everyone. We are also working towards negotiations regarding Krivbass’ home arena in European competition.”

“There are wishes from Yuri Vernidub regarding specific positions that need to be strengthened. There may be transfers for money, but it’s better when a quality performer joins the club for free. The most important thing is that the player fits the coaching staff in all respects. There will be both Ukrainians and legionnaires. We also expect students from the club academy to be part of the team. Some of them already made their debut for Krivbass in the last round.”

“This will be our first European Cup experience. We all take the preparations for the summer training camp very responsibly. It is ideal if newcomers start training camps with the team from the very first days. As for the home stadium for European Cups, we have several options. One is in Germany, fully developed, the other is awaiting a decision from UEFA.”

“After a successful season with Krivbass, many of our performers have interest from other clubs. If there is a good offer that suits all parties, then our club will not interfere with the player’s further development.”

Let us remind you that Krivbass guaranteed itself third place in the UPL ahead of schedule, two rounds before the finish. Next season, Yuri Vernidub’s team will play in the Europa League qualifications.

As the vice-president of the club Artema Gagarin previously stated, if Krivbass reaches the group stage of the European Cup, it will play home matches in Germany. Back in April, a delegation of the Ukrainian club visited stadiums in Dresden, Berlin, Gelsenkirchen and Cologne. The last three cities will host matches of the upcoming European Championship, which will take place from June 14 to July 14.

In the last match of this season, the Krivoy Rog team will play at home against Minai.
