Portugal announced squad for Euro 2024

With veterans Pepe and Ronaldo, but without Guerreiro, Sanches and Nunez

Head coach of the national team Portugal Roberto Martinez decided on the final composition of the team for the championship Europe 2024.

The list of 26 players includes all the main stars of Portuguese football, led by the legendary Pepe (41 years old) and Cristiano Ronaldo (39 years old). Of the notable players in the application, the injured Raphael Guerreiro (Bayern), as well as Mateus Nunez (Manchester City) and Renato Sanches (Roma) are missing.

Defenders: Antonio Silva (Benfica), Danilo Pereira (PSG), Diogo Dalot (Manchester United), Gonçalo Inácio (Sporting), João Cancelo (Barcelona), Nelson Semedo (Wolverhampton), Nuno Mendes (PSG), Pepe (Porto), Ruben Dias (Manchester city).

Midfielders: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United), Joao Neves (Benfica), Joao Palinha (Fulham), Otavio Monteiro (Al-Nasr), Ruben Neves (Al-Hilal), Vitinha (PSG).

Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo (Al-Nasr), Diogo Jota (Liverpool), Francisco Conceicao (Porto), Gonçalo Ramos (PSG), Joao Felix (Barcelona), Pedro Neto (Wolverhampton), Rafael Leão (Milan).

Before the 2024 European Championship itself, which will be held in Germany from July 14 to 14, the Portuguese national team will play three test matches – against Finland, Croatia and Ireland.

At the continental championship itself, within Group F, Martinez’s team will compete with the Czech Republic, Turkey and Georgia.
