Krasyuk: We need to talk to the judge who gave Fury the victory in the fight with Usyk

The promoter believes that such a decision calls into question the purity of the sport

Promoter, CEO of K2 Promotions Alexander Krasyuk stated that he would like to talk to the judge who gave the victory to the former WBC champion Tyson Fury over the Ukrainian Alexander Usik.

“I don’t know who this judge is, but we need to talk to him. We need to ask how it was that after 12 rounds he saw Tyson Fury as the winner. Even Fury and his team didn’t see him winning. But one of the judges saw it. What is the reason for this?

“We need to keep this sport pure. Such judging creates negative opinions and attitudes from fans. It shouldn’t be like this,” Krasyuk said.

On the night of May 19, Usik inflicted the first defeat of Fury in his professional career in a fight that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). The victory was awarded to the Ukrainian by a split decision: 115-112, 113-114 and 114-113.

Usik became the first absolute world heavyweight champion in the era of four belts. In the heavyweight division, the last time Lennox Lewis held absolute status was in 1999, but then three titles were enough for this title.

It was reported that an agreement had been reached between Usyk and Fury for a re-fight. The Chairman of the General Authority of Entertainment of Saudi Arabia, Turki Al al-Sheikh, stated that the rematch between Alexander and Tyson is scheduled for October 12-13 in Riyadh.
