The defender expects to join the coaching staff of Sergei Dolgansky
Defender and Captain Vorskly Vladimir Chesnakov confirmed that he will end his playing career this summer.
“Yes it’s true. I am finishing my career and will work in Vorskla. There are no specifics yet. Most likely, I will work on the coaching staff of Sergei Nikolaevich Dolgansky.”
“I had chronic injuries, from which each time it became more and more difficult to recover. That’s why I made this decision.”
“I have a valid player’s contract until the summer. I think I’ll start a new job after my vacation.”
During his career, the defender played more than 400 matches for Vorskla, winning the Ukrainian Cup in the 2008/09 season. Chesnakov also holds the Vorskla record for the number of games played.
Vorskla takes eighth place in the UPL one round before the end of the championship. In the final match, the Poltava team will play against LNZ on May 24.
