The president of the Palm trees, Leila Pereira, filed a request to postpone his testimony at the CPI on betting manipulation in the Senate. The call came after accusations from the owner of SAF do Botafogo, John Textorwho states that Verdão would have benefited in the last two years of the Brazilian calendar.

The deposition in question was scheduled for this Wednesday, 22nd, at 11am (Brasília time), which he had committed to attending. Despite this, the representative claimed to have professional commitments and rescheduled her presence for June 5th.

The representative of Botafogo, in fact, already appeared before the CPI and gave his testimony in April, answering questions from the politicians present, in addition to also having a private meeting to show the evidence he says he has regarding the accusations. He accuses five players of São Paulo of being involved in the schemes.

His speeches are subject to a report made by the company “Good Game!”, hired by him to investigate suspicious actions in recent seasons of Brazilian football. They are not publicly known at the moment, but they show videos of possible suspicious movements in certain games.
