The coach respects the decision of the experienced German
Mentor Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti commented on the statement of the Blancos midfielder Toni Kroos about the end of his football career after Euro 2024.
“Tony made his decision, we have to respect him. This is the decision of the person who has the balls.”

Let us remind you that the 34-year-old German midfielder has decided to retire. Kroos initially planned to extend his contract with Blancos for another season. Tony also refused an offer from one of the Saudi Arabian clubs.
The current season will be the final one in the player’s career. He will hang up his boots after Euro 2024 at home, which runs from June 14 to July 14.
Kroos has been with Real Madrid since 2014 and has won 22 trophies with the Madrid club, including four European Cups and four La Liga titles. In February, Tony played his 450th match for the Madrid club.
Kroos is also known for his performances for Bayern (11 titles, including three Bundesliga championships). Tony is the first ever six-time winner of the Club World Cup and five-time winner of the UEFA Super Cup.
Kroos played more than 100 games for the German national team. Together with Bundesteam, he won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. In 2021, Tony ended his international career, but in February this year he announced his return to the national team.
Real won La Liga and will play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final on June 1. Germany will play in a group with Scotland (June 14), Hungary (June 19) and Switzerland (June 23) at the upcoming European Championship.
